As a healthcare retail establishment, we are committed to your health and well-being, as well as the health and well-being of the associates and optometrists practicing in our retail locations. In an effort to keep you and our team members as safe as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have implemented enhanced cleaning and safety protocols.
What are you doing to help prevent exposure to COVID-19?
Your safety and that of our team members is our top priority! As eye care specialists working in a healthcare retail environment, optometrists and associates are required to come into extremely close contact with patients and customers. In an effort to help keep you and our team members as safe as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have implemented enhanced health and safety policies and procedures that align with recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and health professionals. Current enhancements include:- Requiring everyone over the age of 2 to wear an approved facial covering during the exam process. - Social distancing whenever possible- Hand sanitizer available in every store- Extensive cleaning and disinfecting protocols * Facial coverings/masks must be worn properly – they should cover the nose and mouth, fit snugly on the sides of the face and under the chin, and cannot have an exhalation valve or vent. Single-layered neck gaiters, open-chin triangle bandanas and face shields without a facial covering/mask are not acceptable face coverings. Face masks are available upon request.
Do I have to wear a facial covering/mask if I’ve received the COVID-19 vaccine?
ALL customers, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear masks during the exam process due to the increased risk currently posed by COVID-19. Customers are not required to wear masks while shopping on the retail floor. As Associates may be required to come into extremely close contact with customers when fitting and adjusting eyeglasses, customers age 2 and older may are required to wear masks during the fitting process. As Optometrists and Optometric Techs are required to come into extremely close contact with patients during exams, we are requiring that everyone age 2 and older is required to wear an approved facial covering/mask in the Pretest and Exam rooms, including our Doctors and Associates.
Do I need an appointment to visit the store?
An appointment is strongly encouraged, and we are asking patients to schedule their visit ahead of time with the store so we can limit the number of people in a location to comply with social distancing guidelines. You may schedule your eye exam online or call your local store to schedule. Walk-ins are welcome when the schedule allows.
